A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE WHOLE OF FIJI GROUP.

Situation:  A weak trough of low pressure with the associated cloud,
showers and rain affects the Fiji group till later tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a northerly wind flow continues to prevail over the
country.   

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Fine weather over most places apart from afternoon or evening showers
and thunderstorms. 
Showers becoming frequent and increasing to rain later today.
Isolated heavy falls expected.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and
flood prone areas.
Rain easing over most places Wednesday night.

Moderate northerly winds. Gusty wind conditions may be expected in
areas of heavy falls. 
Moderate seas.


Outlook for Thursday   : Cloudy periods with some showers over
Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki, Kadavu and nearby
smaller islands, eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove provinces, Taveuni
and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Elsewhere, fine
apart from afternoon or evening showers. Afternoon or evening
thunderstorms and isolated heavy falls possible.
Moderate to fresh easterly winds. Moderate to rough seas.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Fine weather apart from brief showers. Afternoon or evening showers
and thunderstorms with heavy falls expected.
