A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AREAS OF TAVEUNI AND
NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, YASAWA GROUP, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS,
KADAVU AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS AND THE COASTAL AREAS OF SOUTHERN
BUA, AND RA-RAKIRAKI.

Situation:  A moist northeast wind flow prevails over the country.
Meanwhile a weak trough of low pressure lies just north of the group.
 
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
For land areas of Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa, Lau and
Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and the coastal
areas of northern Bua, eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove, Tailevu and Ra
provinces:
Northeast winds with wind speeds of 46 km/hr and gusts up to 55 km/hr
easing later tonight. 
Rough seas.
Elsewhere, moderate to fresh easterly winds, gusty at times. Rough
seas.

Cloudy periods with brief showers over Suva-Nausori,
Naitasiri-Rewa-Tailevu-Ra, eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove provinces
including Taveuni and nearby smaller islands. 
Elsewhere, fine weather apart from isolated afternoon or evening
showers. 
Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms possible with heavy
falls.
 
Outlook for Wednesday  : Cloudy periods with some showers over
Navua-Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi-Naitasiri, Rewa-Tailevu-Ra, southern
Bua, Eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove including Taveuni and nearby
smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller
islands. Elsewhere, fine weather apart from isolated afternoon or
evening showers.Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms possible
over the main islands.
