Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers affects
the northern and eastern parts of the country. It is expected to clear the group
to the east tomorrow.
Forecast to midnight Friday for the Fiji group:
Some showers over Lami-Suva-Nasinu-Nausori-Korovou, Serua-Namosi, the interior
of Tailevu North-Naitasiri, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands,
Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Elsewhere, cloudy
with some showers especially in the afternoon or evening.
Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms with heavy falls may lead to flash
flooding of low lying areas.
Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
Moderate to rough seas.
Outlook for Saturday : Brief showers over Lami-Suva-Nasinu-Nausori-Korovou,
Serua-Namosi, the interior of Tailevu North-Naitasiri, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and
nearby smaller islands, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti
groups.
