SOUTHERN COOKS.
A STRONG WIND REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LAND AREAS AND WATERS OF
SOUTHERN COOKS.
Situation:
A weak trough of low pressure lies slow moving over Southern Cooks.
Meanwhile, a fresh to strong southeasterly wind flow prevails over
the group.
A trough of low pressure affects the eastern parts of Northern Cooks.
Meanwhile, a moist easterly wind flow prevails over the group.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Southern Cooks:
Expect sea flooding of coastal areas especially during high tides.
For land areas: Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Winds increasing to
20 to 25 knots from later today.
For waters: Southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots.
Rough seas.
Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms.
