The Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone [ITCZ] lies over Northern Line
Islands and extends westwards affecting the northern part of Western
Kiribati. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure affects Southern Line
Islands with moist easterly wind flow prevailing over the whole
group.

For Kiribati: Moderate to fresh easterly winds.
Western Kiribati: Some showers and isolated thunderstorms over
Butaritari. Cloudy periods with brief showers elsewhere.
Northern Line Islands : Cloudy periods with some showers and possible
