A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LAND AREAS AND WATERS OF NORTHERN COOKS. Situation: A trough of low pressure approaches Southern Cooks from the North. Associated rain and strong winds affects the group. An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain affects Northern Cooks. Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Southern Cooks: Over Waters: Strong north to easterly winds 20 to 30 knots, gusting to 45 knots. Expect gale force winds later tomorrow.Rough to very rough seas. Over Land: Strong north to easterly winds 20 to 30 knots with gusts of up to 45 knots. Expect gale force winds later tomorrow. Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places. Further outlook: Gale force winds upto 65km/hr gusting to 90km/hr. Rain and thunderstorms to continue. For Rarotonga: Over Waters: Strong north to easterly winds 20 to 30 knots, gusting to 45 knots.
