LOMAIVITI GROUP.

A FLASH FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR SMALL STREAMS AND LOW LYING
FLASH FLOOD PRONE AREAS OF INTERIOR AND EASTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU
[FROM KOROLEVU, THROUGH CORAL COAST, NAVUA, LAMI, SUVA, WAINIMALA,
WAIDINA, WAINIBUKA, NAUSORI TO KOROVOU, DOBUILEVU, RAKIRAKI TO TAVUA]
AND PARTS OF VANUA LEVU [FROM NABOUWALU, THROUGH DAMA, LEKUTU,
BATIRI, SEAQAQA TO LABASA].

Situation: A trough of low pressure with cloud and rain remains slow
moving just north of Fiji. It is expected to gradually drift south
over the northern parts of the group later today before moving back
north tomorrow. Meanwhile, a moist southeast to southwest wind flow
prevails over Fiji.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over the
Northern Division, Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti group,  Interior and
Eastern half of Viti Levu [From Sigatoka through Navua, extending to
Suva up to Tailevu North], Kadavu and nearby smaller islands. Rain
easing to showers tomorrow.
Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and
thunderstorms.
Severe thunderstorms expected to produce heavy rainfall over western
and interior parts of Viti Levu.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and
flood prone areas.

Moderate southeast to southwest winds.
Moderate seas.

Outlook for Friday     : Cloudy periods with some showers with
isolated heavy falls over Cakaudrove , Southern Bua, Interior and
Eastern half of Viti Levu [From Sigatoka through Navua, extending to
Suva up to Tailevu North], Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and
Lomaiviti groups.
Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and
thunderstorms with heavy falls.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and
flood prone areas.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain easing to
showers tomorrow.
Outlook for Friday     : Cloudy periods with some showers and
isolated heavy falls.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
Severe Thunderstorms expected to produce heavy rainfall. 
Outlook for Friday     : Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers
and thunderstorms with heavy falls. 

For Sigatoka/Coral Coast: 
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain easing to
showers tomorrow.
Outlook for Friday: Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated
heavy falls.

For Tavua/ Rakiraki: 
Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
Severe Thunderstorms expected to produce heavy rainfall.
Outlook for Friday: Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and
thunderstorms with heavy falls.

For Yasawa/Mamanuca group: 
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Yasawa.
Rain easing to showers tomorrow. Fine apart from afternoon or evening
showers and thunderstorms elsewhere.
Outlook for Friday: Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and
thunderstorms with heavy falls.

For Labasa :
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain easing to
showers tomorrow.
Outlook for Friday     : Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers
and thunderstorms with heavy falls.

For Savusavu : Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Rain easing to showers tomorrow.
Outlook for Friday     : Cloudy periods with some showers and
isolated heavy falls.

For Lau/ Lomaiviti: 
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain easing to
showers tomorrow.
Outlook for Friday: Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated
heavy falls.

For Kadavu: 
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain easing to
showers tomorrow.
Outlook for Friday: Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated
heavy falls.

For Rotuma : A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LAND
AREAS AND WATERS OF ROTUMA.

Situation:  An active trough of low pressure with cloud and rain
affects Rotuma. Meanwhile, a moist northwesterly wind flow prevails
over the island.

Over land areas: Northwesterly winds averaging up to 50km/hr.
Over waters: Northwesterly winds  20 to 30 knots.
Rough to very rough seas.

Periods of rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and
flood prone areas.

Outlook for Friday     : Occasional to periods of rain, heavy at
times and few thunderstorms. Strong winds continuing.
