Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers lies across Fiji and is weakening as it slips southeastwards . Meanwhile, an intense ridge of high pressure lies behind the trough. Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters: For all Fiji waters: East to southeast winds 20 to 25 knots and upto 30 knots at times especially through the passages. Rough seas. Moderate southwesterly swells. Poor visibility in areas of heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms. Further outlook: Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots.
