Northern and Southern Cooks Weather Bulletin issued from NWFC Nadi Jan 220410 UTC. A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL SOUTHERN COOK WATERS. Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers continues to affect Southern Cooks. A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the western parts of Northern Cooks. Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Southern Cooks: Over waters: Easterly winds 20 to 30 knots. Rough seas. Moderate easterly swells. Over land: Moderate to fresh winds, gusty at times. Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places. Further outlook: Occasional showers and few thunderstorms. For Rarotonga: Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Further outlook: Occasional showers and few thunderstorms. For the Northern Cooks: Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms west of Manihiki. Some showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere. Moderate to fresh east to northeast winds. Moderate to rough seas. Further outlook: Occasional showers and few thunderstorms.
