A Damaging Heavy Swell Warning is now in force for low lying coastal areas of Southern and Western Viti-Levu, Kadavu, Beqa, Vatulele and nearby smaller islands, Southern Lau, Yasawa and Mamanuca group. and waters of Southwest Viti-Levu, Southern Lau, Yasawa and Mamanuca, Koro Sea and Kadavu Passage. Situation: An intense high pressure system to the far south of Fiji is expected to generate and direst heavy southeasterly swells especially over Southern and Western parts of Fiji. Damaging heavy southeasterly swells can cause sea flooding of low lying coastal areas of Southern and Western Viti-Levu, Kadavu, Beqa, Vatulele and nearby smaller islands, Southern Lau, Yasawa and Mamanuca group.
