Special Weather Bulletin Number NINETEEN ON HEAVY RAIN ISSUED FROM RSMC NADI AT 11.30PM ON Tuesday the 16th of January 2018. HEAVY RAIN WARNING A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR VITI LEVU, KADAVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP. A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE REST OF FIJI. SITUATION: A trough of low pressure with the associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji. The trough is expected to gradually weaken and move southwestwards. It is expected to affect the group till later tomorrow. FOR VITI LEVU, KADAVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP: Occasional rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms. Rain expected to ease to showers from later tomorrow. Potential of flooding in localised heavy falls remains high. FOR THE REST OF FIJI: Occasional rain with isolated heavy falls and few thunderstorms. Rain easing to showers tomorrow. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.
