HEAVY RAIN ALERT CANCELLATION

A HEAVY RAIN WARNING PREVIOUSLY IN FORCE FOR THE NORTHERN DIVISION, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS, KADAVU AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, EASTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU (SERUA/NAMOSI, NAVUA-SUVA-NAUSORI, 
TAILEVU-NAITASIRI, RA-RAKIRAKI-TAVUA) IS NOW CANCELLED.

Situation:
A weak trough of low pressure lies over the group and slowly moving east. Associated cloud and showers are expected to affect the group till later tomorrow.

Forecast for Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups:
Occasional showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.

For the rest of Fiji:
Cloudy periods with some showers.
Afternoon thunderstorms expected over Vanua Levu and eastern half of Viti Levu [Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri]

Isolated heavy falls possible.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
