Situation:
 

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for Tonga:
Severe Tropical Cyclone ULA [970HPA] category 3 was located about
220km southwest of Ono-i-Lau or about 370km south-southwest of Kabara
at midday today. Cyclone is moving southwest away from the group at
about 15km/hr. Close to its centre cyclone is expected to average
winds of 140km/hr with momentary gusts to 195km/hr

For Nuku'alofa:
Severe Tropical Cyclone ULA category 3 was located 22.0S 179.5E at
midday today. A trough of low pressure affects Fiji. Another active
trough lies slow moving over Tonga and extends northeastwards over
Niue and Cook Islands. Meanwhile another active trough of low
pressure lies slow moving over Tokelau and extends over Northern
Cooks.
