A HEAVY RAIN ALERT PREVIOUSLY IN FORCE FOR THE REST OF FIJI IS NOW CANCELLED. Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Fresh to strong northeast to southeast winds with speeds of 40 km/hr to 50km/hr, gusting to 65km/hr. Occasional rain, heavy at times with squally thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, northern Lau group. Rain easing from later tonight. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas. Elsewhere, cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms. Rough to very rough seas.
